ARCHITECTURE:
I knew I wanted to be an Architect from the time I was nine. While attending UT in the late 70’s I had to make a choice between playing Longhorn Basketball or going to Architecture lab. There was no getting around the scheduling conflict. My career speaks for itself. Architecture won the battle.
I have been a Solo Practitioner for the past 20 years and have enjoyed a wide variety of work. I like working on a project A to Z. Being solo allows me to be familiar with all aspects of each project. The latent Artist in me has an outlet not only in my designs but in my presentations as well. I spent my senior year in the School of Art at UT. I had the honor of training under the late Master Watercolorist Michael Frary and was tempted to give up Architecture for his mentorship in Art.
The instruction I received from Michael Frary enhanced my artist eye and I still use the old school method of drawing by hand the initial concepts of each new project.
In today’s fast paced world time is money. I work on a tricked out Mac with the latest technology and the best software. I like to couple my hand drawn art with high tech 3D modeling for beautiful, functional presentations and drawings.
